Where we come from:
Back in 1989 a 26 year old Nigel Smith was approached to solve a big problem. His colleague was supplying beer to the bar operator for the first ever floodlit cricket match at Don Valley Arena, Sheffield. The operator had pulled out with less than a week to go and Nigel asked if he knew anyone who could do it. After vast moments of thought the answer was clear. And so seven days and some 15,000 poured pints later and idea was born. It slumbered…
Then in 2002 The Fleece Inn became the Moongazing Hare home and the business gradually grew into what it has become today; taking over £250,000 in bar sales; servicing some of the biggest and best festivals in the land; just not forgetting the can do attitude and flexibility that are needed to get the best from and give the best to festivals and events large and small.
We are based at the world famous National Trust owned Fleece Inn so we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the world of cask ales and real hospitality.
Today our client base ranges from such legends as Shrewsbury and Warwick Folk Festivals to smaller more intimate affairs such as Coughton Court Cheese and Pickle Festival, and even our own Asparafest.
Our client base continues to grow and diversify and we will always love the challenge that that creates.
